The Professional Paradox

Per my last email

There is a specific type of colleague who asks a question, receives the answer, and then three days later asks the same question in a meeting, in front of everyone I report to.

So today I did it. I said the words. Per my last email.

For those unfamiliar, per my last email is corporate for I have already told you this and I have receipts. It is the closest thing our industry has to violence.

Did he apologise? Did he say ah yes, so you did, thank you? He did not. He said “great, could you pop it all in a deck?”

A deck. Of the email. He wants the email again, but slower and with a logo.

O and the deck is due Friday. My Friday. Not his Friday, because he’s on leave.

Lovely stuff.
